About your therapists

Sawadee Ka, welcome to my site.
My name is May and i am from Nong Khai province, North East Thailand.
I have had an interest, experience and training in Thai Massage Therapy since i was young. The ancient techniques have been passed down through the generations of our Thai family as is the tradition in the rural Issan regions of Thailand. I was taught to perform the massage techniques upon the elders and my family members when they returned home from working at the farm and to help ease the demands of manual labour.
Massage is widely used to improve health and wellbeing in Thai culture.
I decided to open Cardiff Thai Massage after performing the traditional Nuad Boran techniques together with the Thai Boxing (Muay Thai) massage using traditional oils whilst helping prepare the Welsh National Muay Thai boxing team for competition.
As a result of the demand and interest for the therapeutic and holistic massage techniques I decided to become officially qualified in Thai Massage Therapy. Therefore during 2010 i returned to Thailand and attended a course where i became officially qualified from the Nong Khai medical school of Thai Traditional Therapies, Nong Khai, Thailand.
The official course, whilst demanding, was also very informative and educational lasting two months long of daily study and practice - I am now licensed and certified by the Medical Massage Council of Thailand to perform traditional Thai Massage.
